Where the South Butler School District is Touching the World! Mr. Cooper's Travel Bug Project!

On my trip to the United States in February, I was given a TB to bring back to New Zealand as part of a very special project. The South Butler Primary School in Saxonburg, PA, USA is using Travel Bugs released through Geocaching to educate the 3rd Grade about far flung cultures and places. Their teacher, aka clockdoc52 , instigated the project and the children have made the TBs themselves, with personalised necklaces (their initials) and other items included.

Our very own TB is TB2A5QQ To New Zealand with a "Primary" Purpose- Peace! CoopSBPS , aka Snoopy. It is travelling New Zealand and is always on the look out for new adventures.

Update: 03/Feb/2010. The class has 75 Animal TBs in 35 countries. And NZ had the first one! They have put together a powerpoint presentation at drop.io/cooperstuff for our enjoyment. Download this into a local directory to play. Cheers, GC.
