A recent visit to Christchurch by our esteemed Secretary resulted in one of those ad-hoc 'mini-events' in conjunction with our Treasurer and some Committee members.

 

Besides sampling the finest food and drink, finding caches and swapping tall true stories of valour and caching endeavours, the group decided that a regular night to meet up on Kiwicaching was in order.

 

So Kiwi-Chews-Day was born!

It all started with two travelling geocoins that we picked up at Moneydorks Massive Easter Egg Hunt 2008; #3 Dancer - http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1321128 & Cheyenne's 1st Pincourt Sparks' First Italian Baby Geocoin - http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=996495. Both of these geocoins had links to guiding so we thought we would try to make contact with the local Guiding groups, which we only managed with the Ashburton Rangers.
